Artistic Portrait Drawing: Capture Authentic Expressions

I am enjoying this course very much. Being new to drawing and specifically, portrait drawing has been a challenge. This course is comprehensive and inspires me to keep on practicing and producing art!

This course has the right amount of the details you need to follow along and start building portraits using pencil. I am not a classically trained art student. I needed the Loomis method overview. I've been sketching using the technique almost daily since watching this course. I particularly liked the shadow mapping training. Sam does a great job of laying the structural foundation of portraits and then taking you into the details that highlight the work!

I love this course! It’s very inspiring! I learned so much about shape, values and form and will come back to it again and again. Thank you so much Sam Brisley for sharing your process and knowledge!

This is a very comprehensive course. I love the techniques used for analytical/technical styled drawing I find this style suits the way I process things with autism. I appreciate Sam sharing his knowledge and talent so we can improve our drawing. Many of the skills in the course I have not seen much artists teach.
