About the video: Decision making
Overview
“Now I'm going to tell you one of the best kept secrets by every architectural illustrator: what to render and what not. From a real image, I will tell you why I decided to stick with a basic rendering and how I was adding all the elements that were in front of the building in post-production. Finally, we will see what layers of post-production support are essential to approach post-production in a non-destructive and orderly way. ”
In this video lesson Fran Mateos addresses the topic: Decision making, which is part of the Domestika online course: Matte Painting Techniques for ArchViz. Optimize your architectural models in an efficient way and enhance the final image through matte painting.

“Making Decisions In this lesson, I’ll share something nobody tells you:, how far I go when I create a render for a bid. Oftentimes, I make decisions based on the time I have available. A course by Fran Mateos
Despite specializing in landscapes, as soon as he finished his degree Fran Mateos set his sights on architectural graphic illustration driven by the idea of learning from the projects around him that were underway at the time. He started by collaborating with studios like Poliedro, Idearch, Manu-facturas, and Foster and Partners until he decided to take a break and open his own academy: La Leonera.
After a year of teaching classes, Fran was given the opportunity to work with the studio Nieto Sobejano and he quickly found himself drawn back into the world of architectural visualization. With the knowledge and experience he gained while there, he formed a team and founded Drama, his own architectural communication agency which has collaborated with larger studios in Spain and Europe including Arquitectos Ayala, Vázquez Consuegra, and Unstudio.
