About the video: Introduction to Editorial Travel Illustration

Overview

“In this course, my aim is to show how I create travel illustrations that have a sense of place and atmosphere from photographic references found on the internet and your own photographs of the location. I will talk about creating a sense of place and atmosphere through the use of colour and tone in different layers of Photoshop. Applying your own experience of places you love or places you want to visit, we will create an illustration with our own vision. This may involve using a mixture of references from different sources and trying to draw on memory as well. ”

In this video lesson Alex Green addresses the topic: Introduction to Editorial Travel Illustration, which is part of the Domestika online course: Travel Illustration: Recreate Your Favorite Place. Learn digital illustration techniques with a splash of acrylic paint to create artwork inspired by a photograph of a place you love .
