About the final project for: Packaging Illustration: Create Imaginative Product Designs

Packaging Illustration: Create Intricate Product Designs

“I hope this has been fun and inspiring for you! Now it's time to consider how you would create your own project, inspired by the images that you are drawn to and with your goals in mind. What would you make if you could design any product’s packaging? What do you wish existed in the world? What do you care about or know a ton about?

I hope to see you explore historical images for reference, create several iterative sketches trying out multiple different compositions, and then choosing the one you like best to refine.
Keep the elements of the design and compositional principles in mind! Help the viewer understand the hierarchy of information and where to look first.
Incorporate these same rules as you develop your hand lettering to add to your design. Play with color and consider color theory in your decisions.
Ultimately I hope you make something that you like and enjoy working on! Please be patient if you have questions, I will do my best to respond to them. Please help each other in the forum. I often tell my students that you learn just as much from each other as you do from your teacher. Thank you and goodbye! ”
