“The Dot System In this lesson, I'm going to teach you about the dot system. This system is used to measure the alphabets. It is important to learn everything about the dot system, because this way the alphabets are measured and the dots that are used to measure the alphabets are hidden, so in the final form of Arabic we don't put these dots. They are only to indicate if the letters are correct in proportion or not. In the 10th century, a calligrapher called Ibn Muqla, was the first person who introduced the dot system.
