About the final project for: Introduction to Sensory Interior Design

Introduction to sensory interior design

“For your final project I want you to review among your projects (if you have them) and choose one or choose a space that you love to create an interior in which the five senses are the protagonists. I want you to transform those interiors into spaces that excite through the senses. After everything we've seen, you can do it now, do you accept the challenge? Next, we are going to review the key phases of the project. It would be great if you showed me a picture of each phase and added a brief explanation about what you have done in each one. I have transformed the Kai La Caleta Restaurant into a space that thrills through the senses; now comes your time. Analysis and planning Choose a project of yours or another designer that suits you and you think you can improve. Investigate the 3 protagonists (client, space and user who will enjoy the space) in order to plan. I always use to draw a small sketch to get an initial idea of the project.

Next, create your sensory diagram, that will be the basis to start working.
Sensory design Review sense by sense, adding those details that will make your space something memorable. Remember to explore other senses other than sight as well!
Presentation Here you can see the mood board and how some of the spaces were. In the additional resources of Unit 4 I left you all the photos of the final presentation of the Kai La Caleta project.
Communication Finally, communicate your project to make it known as I explained in the video lessons in Unit 4.
Now share your final project with the community by clicking on "Create your project". Remember to share both the final result of your design and the steps that have led you to it. I also want to invite you to actively participate in the forum, both sharing your progress and giving advice and trying to help the rest of the community. It is sure to be very enriching for everyone! See you on the forum!”

“Final Project We've reached the end of this Domestika course. I hope I’ve taught you how to do interior design with the senses. Before saying goodbye, I will summarize each step we took to design the project. First, I taught you what sensory design is and how it affects the user’s perception of a space. Then we looked at how to create an extra-sensitive experience through sensory marketing. We saw how big companies use this strategy to improve their brand image and sales. To guide you through the course, we worked with a real project, Kai La Caleta restaurant. I showed you my exclusive meth...”
