“Color Tests Now that I have the background done, I’ll start adding layers on top of the background. Sometimes the elements that are closer are darker, so I’ll add in a green here, for example. I've combined a light green with some black. I’ll keep going until I get the shade I need. A bit of water to control the transparency. I can keep going by adding a lighter shade because acrylic gouache allows me to do that. If you were working with classic gouache, when you added a lighter color onto the base, the colors would blend. That can work in your favor. That’s what tests are for, to do a prac...”
