First, you'll set up your Photoshop efficiently, create your own brushes, shortcuts, and setup for different tools. Then you will learn what colour keys are and why artists from the industry use them so effectively. Inspiration is really important, which is why you'll learn how to structure your reference boards. You'll sketch several thumbnails before deciding on the one for the scene you want to paint. Then you'll develop your colour key by taking your thumbnail through to the colouring stage...”
