“Metallic watercolors: Techniques Now that the two squares above have dried, we will go on to do the wet-on-dry technique. Before applying the technique make sure your two squares are very dry. There is no exact time, as this may vary depending on the paper you use and the amount of water. Now, with my gold watercolor I will make some lines on the blue square. For this I will use a thinner brush, a round brush number 0 which will help me make finer strokes. Try to make parallel lines without touching. Then we will make horizontal lines, but for that we must wait for this first layer to dry. ...”
