“In this lesson, I'm going to talk about the tools and materials that I'm going to use. But before I start doing that, I will tell you about the contents of the course. First, I'm going to show you how I will be doing the basic techniques of carving. And then I'll show you how I will be doing the designs to create a final motif. Then I will show you how to transfer the designs to the rubber. and how to carve it. We will then create the rest of the stamps to add depth and perspective to our main composition. Viktoria Åström is a freelance artist, illustrator, and animator based just outside of Gothenburg, Sweden. She studied computer science at Lund University, and later went on to study design for interactive media at Middlesex University.
As an artist, she does a lot of her work by hand with everything from watercolors, ink illustrations, and prints with carving rubber. She runs her own web shop on Etsy where she sells her work, and does illustrative and 2D animation work for clients. She has also worked as an art director for clients like Volvo, SCA, Wellspect, and Trelleborg AB.
