“ About Me Hello, everyone, and welcome to my course. I'll teach you about rubber carving, but first I'll go through a bit about myself. My name is Viktoria Åström. I'm an artist from Gothenburg, Sweden. I grew up there. I have always been painting and drawing as far as I can remember. My art is very much influenced by the area where I grew up. You can see it in the art I create. They have many buildings and houses. My father used to restore old buildings, and that's where my love for painting houses began. As a kid, I loved reading. I would read a lot of fiction and read about creating art...”

Viktoria Åström is a freelance artist, illustrator, and animator based just outside of Gothenburg, Sweden. She studied computer science at Lund University, and later went on to study design for interactive media at Middlesex University.
As an artist, she does a lot of her work by hand with everything from watercolors, ink illustrations, and prints with carving rubber. She runs her own web shop on Etsy where she sells her work, and does illustrative and 2D animation work for clients. She has also worked as an art director for clients like Volvo, SCA, Wellspect, and Trelleborg AB.
