“Materials I'll now show you the materials we'll need in this course. The project is divided into three parts: the portrait part, the illustration, the printing on the fabric and the embroidery. For the illustration, I use an iPad with the pencil, but you don't need that. In fact, when I started to do these jobs I did it on paper, with pencil and tracing paper. The pencils I used at the time were graphite pencils. The ones that are quite soft when you draw, so when you use your finger or a cotton swab, you fade it and create these shadows. When the illustration is done, we'll do the printing...”
