“Painting the Background Now our figure is mapped out, and we'll leave it alone for now and we'll work on the background. This is where we can really experiment with the acrylic paint and the textures and effects you can achieve with it. I'll demonstrate a technique that I like to introduce some interesting texture to the background. We start here with a colour that's a little darker than what I want the finished background colour to be. As I mentioned in an earlier lesson, I'm going to go for warm colours that are kind of in the same region as flesh tones. Not exactly flesh tones, but warme...”
