Animated 3D Lettering with X-Particles
Color User Data
A course by Erich Gordon , Art Director
About the video: Color User Data
Overview
“We will use Redshfit's Color User Data to create the shaders of our particles, and we will choose good lighting so that the project does not go unnoticed. It seems simple, but first you have to apply some tags of Redshift; I will explain what you should do and what not. Afterwards, we will create a photographic set to correctly illuminate our scene. We will adjust the settings to remove all our frames from the scene and be able to take them to After Effects. To conclude, we will join all the frames in After Effects and we will use the adjustment layer to create layers with properties, and thus manage to retouch the color and contrast.”
In this video lesson Erich Gordon addresses the topic: Color User Data, which is part of the Domestika online course: Animated 3D Lettering with X-Particles. Learn to create simulations with the Cinema 4D plugin and bring your fonts to life.
Partial transcription of the video
“Color User Data In this lesson we are going to see everything related to Color User Data, which is a way that in redshift we can give color attributes to the particles. Go for it. Well, here we already have the water material applied, that we were satisfied. Now we go with the Particle Color User Data. Here we have the default material, which is gray. From Redshift, we have a Ramp. But this Ramp is connected to the Diffuse Color, which is like the main material that we are going to see in the particles. We are going to use this Ramp in the middle to apply different types of colors. For this...”
