“Mapping out the values Blueprint + color In this lesson we're gonna talk about how to map out the values using your new understanding of color. Before we begin, I'd like to specify that the way I like to work is to take the reference photo and draw an image of it, and then use that to map out values and determine my palette. The reason for this is I wanna take away from the photographic quality of the image, and with that I don't mean photorealistic, I mean having aspects of a photograph, and turn it more into a drawing or painting.
