“Influences Now that you know a little about me, we can get into my influences. I work personally with a huge range of mediums, so I'm going to stick with my influences in the context of punch needle embroidery. The first influence is really a historical influence, because punch needle is not actually a new technique, it has previously existed under the name American rug hooking. American rug hooking consists of taking a crochet hook, or something like it, and poking it through a loosely woven fabric to pull up strips of usually scrap wool and to create images that way and it's usually scene...”
