About the video: A Room Under Colored Light
Overview
“In this lesson, we’ll see what happens when there is no natural light source but only artificial lights in an interior. Some things to notice here: since there is no white light source, the scene becomes very monochromatic, consisting mostly of shades of green and red, which are the colors of the light sources. We still see some local colors because the green light source isn’t pure green and has some white in it, but if it were pure green there would be no trace of the local colors anymore, as only green and red could be reflected. ”
In this video lesson Samuel Smith addresses the topic: A Room Under Colored Light, which is part of the Domestika online course: Lighting Principles for Digital Painting. Learn how to adapt your digital illustrations to a series of natural and artificial lighting conditions on Photoshop.
