“Materials In this class, I will introduce you to the materials you will need in this course. Utensils you will need brushes in different sizes and different thicknesses. Here we have two bigger ones, for when you use more ink, and these smaller ones for you to mix your paints and that don't take as much material. When you buy your brushes, it's important to note two things: the bristle type, that it's not a plastic thing, that it's as natural as possible, and the thicknesses, whether they have more or less bristles. Adriana Pedrosa and Carlota Gasparian are a Brazilian visual arts duo who cofounded the painting studio Adriana e Carlota in 1990. They began their careers painting furniture and other objects. Later, they started to paint walls using exclusive and contemporary decorative techniques. As well as creating commissioned pieces, they carry out constant research on different materials and the revival of ancient techniques.
The duo can be found in various editions of CASACOR, one of the largest showcases of architecture, interior design, and landscaping in America, and were the only Latin Americans to attend ColourFutures in The Netherlands.
