“Samples Before applying decorative techniques to a surface, it is important to do a study. This process is called sampling. It's a simulation of the entire painting process, from the preparation of the base to the final finish. The sample allows us to plan what will be done, giving the possibility to test, miss and get it right. She is like a draft of our final work. Each surface behaves differently. Adriana Pedrosa and Carlota Gasparian are a Brazilian visual arts duo who cofounded the painting studio Adriana e Carlota in 1990. They began their careers painting furniture and other objects. Later, they started to paint walls using exclusive and contemporary decorative techniques. As well as creating commissioned pieces, they carry out constant research on different materials and the revival of ancient techniques.
The duo can be found in various editions of CASACOR, one of the largest showcases of architecture, interior design, and landscaping in America, and were the only Latin Americans to attend ColourFutures in The Netherlands.
