Illustrating Nature: A Creative Exploration

Enjoyed the fun creative approach to creating art with the inexpensive materials.

This is my second course by Laura and i really love how she makes art fun. There are some great ideas for developing creativty and help you relax and just enjoy your art,what ever level your at. Her courses have helped me to stop worrying and just do it. im 62 and came to art late in life so i need all the help i can get.

Oh her tips helped me to go on with watercolor as I felt really stuck.

I find Laura incredibly inspiring, love her class and techniques.
For me, the course provided an outlet for exploration and discovery and allowed me to let go of my initial fears and delve into whatever came out onto the page.
I spent many hours looking at ducks :D

I am enjoying this course and discovering using mixed media. It has opened new thoughts to me and helped my creativity. I am looking forward to finding my own creative style for the final project.

This course focused on experimentation and letting go of fear, which is exactly what I needed. I rediscovered materials and tried new techniques I would have never thought to use. Thank you, Laura!

Laura is extremely generous with her process, sharing loads of useful tips which are the bedrock of a good drawing practice. The exercise are very accessible; the course would suit beginners and anybody who just need to get out of a rut. We try out different materials, mixing and matching without boundaries.Lots of advice on drawing en plein air and she even shares her less successful drawings where some turn out better than others as she works through her sketchbook. An excellent course.

I really liked the focus of this course - freedom and inspiration. I am too much of a 'neat' person so this was very helpful for me in terms of freeing up my artistic attempts. I appreciated the prompts and exercises as a reminder and I found Laura very engaging and inspiring as a teacher - I felt like there were no rules or danger of getting it wrong as there are with other art teachers.

I really loved the look of the preview on this course, but I found it really hard to engage with the projects. I found for me personally that there was a lack of direction, which meant that I didn't really manage to come up with any worthwhile outcomes.
