“Gradual Transitions Between Tones in a Portrait I'm going to show you how to transition between tones using a brush. Oil paint has a slow drying time. This allows you to play with the tones and move the paint around much longer. I'm going to do a simple exercise here to transition between shades. We'll apply this later to some shapes in the face.
