“Bifolia sewing I've prepared the needles and thread. The thread needs to be as long as the number of bifolia or booklets and a bit extra to not make knots with the end of the needle. In this case, it's one, two, three, four, five, six bifolia so six thread lengths plus a bit extra to work comfortably. The block is in order, the front cover, bifolium one, two, three, they are numbered. To not get lost during the sewing, I position them with the spine at the back, the front towards me and I'll bring them, and flip them towards me to sew them. Her work has received awards in Spain and other EU countries. Since 2006, she has been teaching her craft alongside Guadalupe Roldán at the studio she founded: Códex. Their studio has become an international reference in artistic bookbinding and is a space for exchanging ideas and knowledge where many bookbinders and artists from different nationalities have honed their skills and explored their creative potential.
