“How I come up with designs In this lesson, I'm going to talk about how I come up with designs, how I draw them, and what I use as a reference. First of all, I like to travel and when I travel, I make a lot of photos. I have about 30,000 of them and that's without the ones that I deleted. Now I'm going to show you my Prague embroidery and references that I used to create it. For example, you can see the building itself on the photo and you can see how I portray it. She’s always been interested in creating and has tried everything: knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, sewing, sketching, and beadwork until she finally found hand embroidery in 2016 and it became her medium of choice. She’s been embroidering every day ever since.
Architecture is one of her main interests, which is why she created a series of embroidered city patterns, depicting over 130 cities already. Kseniia also loves to experiment with upcycling and customizing garments like jeans, bags, t-shirts, and even sneakers.
