About the video: Lights and shadows
Overview
“After coloring our project, I'm going to show you how to bring it to life by adding layers of light and shadow. For this, we will select the appropriate brush and use the clipping masks. In this type of technique the lights and shadows are made in a more rudimentary way than in the prior art. For this we also use lines, but we play with the thickness and opacity. In the case of shadows, we use the same color tone as the line, but thicker and with 20 or 30% opacity. In the case of the lights, we will use light tones close to white with 70 or 80% opacity. When we adjust the size and opacity of our line, we will contour the shadow and highlight areas.”
In this video lesson Óscar Lloréns addresses the topic: Lights and shadows, which is part of the Domestika online course: Illustration Techniques and Styles with Procreate. Learn how to approach an illustration project with different techniques to find your style.

The first thing we'll do is hide this layer showing the direction, I'll create another layer, always below the Line laye...”
