“In digital painting and illustration, the choice of colors is key; this process is always an important decision. To do this, we will use analogous and complementary colors, and thus avoid spending a lot of time choosing the appropriate color range. Analogous colors are those that are very close within the color selector, that is, they are very similar colors that tend to combine well within a composition. Complementary are those opposite colors within the chromatic circle, and they also usually combine perfectly. With the tools that Procreate includes since version 5, it has never been easier to select our analog and complementary colors. This is going to save us a lot of time.”
