I have learnt a lot from this course. I used to get really bogged down by the minute details of architectural drawing that it stopped me from enjoying the process. I really appreciate that the instructor shared his personal styles and made me realize that architectural drawing can also be expressive and enjoyable.

Good information, and broken down into manageable steps. It was good being able to pause the video to catch up. Only feedback was that his head sometimes got in the way of the reference photo so it was hard to follow exactly what he was doing.

O curso é bastante informativo e inspirador. Dá noções de perspectiva, composição e de desenho arquitetônico de forma clara e concisa. Mas também tem uma abordagem mais artística e solta da aquarela.

I enjoyed Alex’s approach and I am also very drawn to architecture and line and wash techniques. I need to stop looking and start doing and Alex has given me a method for doing so.

I thought I knew something about water colour painting but this is a whole new world to me. Alex is an expert at describing how he builds up his painting and puts into words what I could only describe as feelings and intuitive reasons for placing a stroke, a dash of colour, making a certain mixture of colours. His 'strokes of genius' are super-inspiring. I am itching to complete this course and do it over again and again.

Alex Hillkurtz course was excellent - very informative. Mr. Hillkurtz articulated very clearly his ideas, communicating the principles of architectural drawing but also showing the freedom and joy of watercolor. His knowledge and skillful examples through his own work were very inspiring . Five stars!

Absolutely yes I would recommend this course, best of all I see architecture in a different light. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole process. Excellent!!!

Alex Hillkurtz is a wonderful teacher and his passion for the subject is very evident. I really enjoyed this course and am hoping that he might do another.
