Broadcloth Studio
A course by Broadcloth Studio
Amanda Carye is the quilter, designer, and writer behind Broadcloth Studio, as well as co-host of the Quilt Buzz podcast. Born in New England and now resident in New York, she has been sewing for as long as she can remember. She first started quilting in middle school and in 2017, she finally broke away from her career in the corporate world to found her studio.
Her style can be described as bold and modern, and her process is geared towards the opportunity for lively problem-solving. As a lover of improvisation, patchwork provides the perfect playground for flexing her creative muscles and letting everyday stresses melt away. She currently produces pieces for Aurifil and her work has been featured in articles and lookbooks for names like Art Gallery Fabrics and Purl Soho. She has also written pieces for Love Patchwork & Quilting Magazine and LoveCrafts.
