Packaging Tutorial: Craft Merchandising Tips

Learn how to create successful and appealing craft packaging with AMARENA
Textile artist Mapi Casafranca founded AMARENA as a brand committed to fair trade and the environment. She produces traditional Peruvian craftwork with a meticulously designed finish.
Her concern about the careful use of raw materials means she uses paper, card and natural fiber for her packaging, on top of ensuring her creations are sustainable. In this tutorial, Mapi teaches you three different ways to create stylish packaging that’s kind to the environment.
Discover her tips in the video.
3 Ways to Package Macramé and Other Craft Designs
1. Paper bags and stickers
Paper bags are the perfect packaging for smaller creations. And personalized details make them stand out. Mapi recommends punching holes in the bag and using thread to create your own handles.

You can also add stickers featuring your brand name, along with information like your website or social media addresses.

2. Fabric bag
AMARENA tries to use sustainable packaging materials whenever possible. A 100% natural fiber tote bag (cotton, for example) is an excellent choice for larger or heavier items.

3. A stiff card bag
If you want to give your packaging a more personalized touch, try using stiff card bags pre-printed with your brand logo.

A simple way to achieve a professional finish is to add labels to your finished product and include a business card with your contact details in the package.
