Start by getting to know Carla Marin, textile artist and founder of Fibra Bohemia. She shares how she began in the world of knots and some of her most representative sources of inspiration for her creations.

Then, see the materials you need to carry out your project and get to grips with the basic macramé knots (lark’s head, square, double half stitch, and closings) with its variations so you can create your own combinations to make your artisanal jewelry pieces.

See a simple formula to draw sketches before creating your pieces to use as a guide to calculate how much string you’ll need.

Then, make a start on your artisanal jewelry, first create your earrings, then a bracelet, and lastly a necklace, with Carla’s guidelines as you go.

Finally, she teaches other options that you can use as material to create your macramé jewelry, as well as tricks to care for your pieces, and shows you other ways to apply your newfound macramé knotting skills.

As for materials, you will need: waxed cotton string of the color you prefer (you can choose a few colors), hooped earrings (either gold or silver) of a 6cm diameter, gold beads, scissors, a measuring tape, adhesive tape, glue, paper, and a pencil.
