Selecting the right font is an essential part of setting the tone of your design. Each font format has a range of functions and meanings, which allow it to convey and reinforce your message on elements including signage, packaging, graphic design and magazine covers.
You need to master optical sizing to be able to exploit font’s full potential. Optical sizing means adapting a letter for different purposes. Some fonts come in different sizes with crucial differences, for example, depending on whether they will be used on a poster or in body copy.
