6 Sources of Video Content to Awaken Your Creativity

Cherry Bomb Creative Co. share their favorite platforms for inspirational video content
Nora Muñoz and Gabriel Tinoco are the co-founders of independent studio Cherry Bomb Creative Co. (@cherrybomb_creative), which specializes in branding, design, and illustration. They’ve worked with major brands such as Nestle, Cinépolis, Didi Food, Editorial Santillana, and Pearson, as well as NGOs including UNICEF, UNHCR, and the Red Cross.

Their work has been featured in books published by Editorial Monsa and magazines such as Mindsparkle Magazine and World Brand Design and has reached audiences in Latin America, the United States, and the Middle East. For Nora and Gabriel, every project is an opportunity to test the limits of their creativity and create “an explosion of vectors and colors”.
Aside from working with more well-known entities, they also take great pride in collaborating with small businesses and entrepreneurs. “We believe that design is not just about making logos, a label, or a webpage. We see design as going beyond shapes and figures to really understand what is behind a brand,” says Nora. “It’s about creating experiences,” adds Gabriel.

Cherry Bomb Creative Co. have also had the opportunity to share their wisdom through giving lectures and running workshops at different universities. “Something that fills us with great satisfaction is being able to share our knowledge and our experiences with students,” says Gabriel. One of their biggest pieces of advice is to build a bank of resources that you can dive into for inspiration. Today, in this blog post, Nora and Gabriel share a list of their favorite resources for video content.
Kingston University: What Is Creativity?
This beautiful animation was created by Kingston School of Art alumni. The ex-students of the prestigious London university explore the idea, “what is creativity?”

A great creative is filled with insatiable curiosity. Vox creates video explainers that “help you cut through the noise and understand what's driving events in the headlines and in our lives.” With topics ranging from why Napoleon is always depicted with his hand inside his coat to an exploration of what it means to be Black in Brazil, not only will you learn a great deal, these videos are also very pleasing to the eye!

If you are a pop culture fanatic, then this channel is for you. Nerdwriter analyzes the best of TV and film as well as current affairs and history.

Design and film aren’t the only things that can inspire us. This Argentinian geography channel (in Spanish) will surprise you with impressive images and a fascinating insight into the secrets of the Earth.
NPR Music, Tiny Desk Concert
This is a go-to channel for listening to beautiful music while you work. This performance by Mother Falcon is one of Nora and Gabriel's favorites.
"If you want to listen to more beautiful music this song is marvelous and includes muppets," says Nora and Gabriel. (Yes, muppets, you read that correctly!)
In the course, Creativity for Design Projects, Nora and Gabriel teach you a series of creative exercises to develop a design project, from the concept to the final art.
