5 Free Essential Color Theory Classes Online

Learn how to use the color wheel and benefit from this important tool for illustrators and painters
We often talk about the importance of the color wheel and color theory, but how are they applied?
With the intention that you observe closely the use that the experts give it and so that you analyze how to apply the color wheel to your projects, we have selected the following free classes. To see each lesson, you just have to click on its red title. Enjoy!

Free class: Recreate the color circle using primary colors
In this video class, belonging to the Creation of Color Palettes with Watercolor course, Ana Victoria Calderón teaches us to develop color schemes with watercolor that reflect our personality and artistic sensitivity, reviewing technical details that include, for example, comfortable body postures to work.

Free class: Understanding the color
In the Introduction to Illustration of Characters with Gouache and India Ink course, illustrator Andonella teaches us how the color wheel works and how to create our own colors from the primaries. For that, she uses a template that you can get at any supply store or even free on the web.

Free class: Color Theory
In this class you'll practice with exercises based on color theory to create your own broken tones, which are the sum of a color plus its complementary color. It is one of the classes of the Watercolor Portraits Inspired by Nature course by the visual artist, muralist and cultural manager ZELVA Uno.

Free class: Color wheel
In this video class, the painter Ale Casanova addresses the issue of how to personalize our colors and choose between the many possibilities that the pictorial technique offers us, to create our own composition from beginning to end. These teachings are part of the Oil Painting for Beginners course.

Free class: Color theory, color wheel and harmonies
In the Colored Marker Techniques for Manga course, illustrator Tania Oksentiuk explains techniques to apply to this particular style and places special emphasis on the importance of harmony. In this case, the color wheel is focused on the manga style.

Only the first "Free class" is available to see!! I'm a student from other course and trying to access the material, but unfortunately couldn't.
