Drawing Prompts by Mattias Adolfsson

This tool will help you overcome any creative block and refine your style

All artists, no matter how talented they are, face some kind of mental block sooner or later. There are days where it seems impossible to draw something that makes us proud. Creativity simply eludes us. On those occasions, a drawing prompt can help break the spell and get our creative juices flowing again.

A prompt is a list of tasks or ideas that can inspire us when drawing. Not only do they help to fight blank page syndrome, they can also work as a way to exercise our skills or try a new style or technique when drawing. More importantly, they are fun to do.

Prompts can take many forms. They can be a monthly challenge in which each day it is devoted to complete a certain drawing or a collection of half-made illustrations that need to be completed. There are no wrong answers for these exercises; they are just ideas that force you to leave your comfort zone and think differently.
