8 Creative Projects to Commemorate March 8 2025

International Women's Day is a time to honor women around the world.

1. MTV LA - 8M
Noelia Lozano is a Spanish image creator and art director working between Madrid and San Sebastián. In this MTV LA project, she presents a striking visual concept designed to highlight the feminist movement through design and illustration. She puts a strong emphasis on process, sharing her love for textures, color, light, shadows, and shapes.

2. Women’s Day 8M - Powerful Woman Illustration
Maria Isabel Díez, a design student passionate about form, created a vibrant illustration for March 8 that symbolizes strength and female empowerment.

3. 8M - International Women’s Day
Kisha Mulhall pays graphic tribute to the feminist movement, blending symbolism and visual storytelling to deliver a powerful message.

4. Feminist Thought and Embroidered Photography
Carmen Gloria Toro Cartes, a designer and visual artist, has spent over 20 years teaching. While earning her master’s degree in higher education, she discovered the importance of guiding others to build their own learning experiences. This project fuses photography and embroidery to explore feminist thought through textile art.

5. Women’s International Day - Sticker Set Lettering
Ana Moreno, also known as @lettering.iam on social media, is an industrial designer who has always worked in graphic design because it’s what she loves most. Five years ago, she discovered lettering, and ever since, it has been her passion. To celebrate Women's Day, she created a set of stickers featuring inspiring phrases and designs that honor the fight and empowerment of women.

6. Feminist Charcoal and Acrylic Drawing Series
Indhira, a creative director in Mexico, created this illustration series for March 8, capturing different aspects of womanhood and the feminist struggle using charcoal and acrylic as expressive mediums.

7. Feminist Embroidery
Maria Fernanda Díaz Villegas started embroidery in 2019 with basic stitches, and since then, she hasn’t stopped. She is currently working to take her embroidery to the next level by incorporating textures and painting. For this special occasion, she created a project that reclaims the role of women in society through embroidery, an art form rich in symbolism.

8. Feminist Team Scarf
Leire Villar is a professional crochet artist who creates content for various craft and editorial clients under her brand, Ameskeria. She loves simple, easy to make designs and has a passion for color, amigurumi, and pattern design. For her, a textile piece is enough to represent unity and sisterhood within the feminist movement on March 8.
