8 Projects to Celebrate Quentin Tarantino
Quentin Tarantino turns 61 today and we pay tribute to him with this compilation of projects in which he has served as inspiration
When it comes to auteur cinema, Quentin Tarantino is among the top representatives of the genre. The great American director is now over 60 years old and, as a tribute, we have compiled eight projects created by members of the Domestika community and that is a small sample of the passion for the figure of Tarantino across the planet.
Art director Gallo Lopez makes an animated review of four of Tarantino's most significant films: Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Inglourious Basterds and Django UnchainedHis plasticine-emulating figurines are so cute that even General Landa looks good.
Carlos Rodríguez is a press and editorial illustrator and created this incredible portrait of Tarantino on the occasion of an interview that the director gave exclusively to the newspaper El Mundo, following the release of his film "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood", in which he talked about it and about the panorama of cinema today.
Using only yellow and orange tones, this graphic designer and illustrator rewards us with some unique images of some of the most iconic moments of Tarantino's films, such as the views of John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction or the close-up shot of Brad Pitt and Eli Roth in the last seconds of Inglourious Basterds.
The art director, illustrator and designer was inspired by the figures of John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction to make these characters in Cinema 4D, which he presents to us in different forms.
Undoubtedly, Pulp Fiction is one of the great stars of Tarantino's career and has served as a great inspiration since its release until now, not only in the world of cinema, but also in many other artistic areas. This is demonstrated by illustrator and graphic designer Ricardo Polo Lopez, who illustrates different characters from the film with his own personal touch.
From an illustration made by @pasajero_zero, motion graphics artist Manuel Diaz Delgado (@cachomotion) created this animation of the great Kill Bill character Gogo Yubari character, who is remembered for wanting to kill the main character, played by Uma Thurman, but ended up falling into his hands.
La Cosecha Creative Studio created this illustration of five characters from The Hateful Eight, movie released by Tarantino in 2015, made using only blue and white, but in a totally realistic way.
Back to Alex G. to highlight this great illustration of Quentin Tarantino's great masterpiece (at least for me), Inglourious Basterds. It features the characters Aldo Raine, Donny Donowitz, Shosanna Dreyfus, Bridget von Hammersmark and Hugo Stiglitz, with a totally heroic presence.
Which one do you choose? If you also have any works inspired by Quentin Tarantino, feel free to share them with this community!
