Discover the World With These 5 Travel Photographers

Embark on a visual expedition with these 5 travel photographers. Their shots are your passport to the world's hidden wonders.
Travel photography possesses a remarkable ability to transport individuals to far-flung corners of the world, allowing them to experience the sights, sounds, and emotions of a destination as if they were there in person. Through the lens of a skilled photographer, the vivid landscapes, bustling markets, and colorful cultures of distant lands come to life, bridging the geographical gap and immersing you in a sensory journey.
Travel photography can capture the essence of a place, igniting the viewer's imagination, triggering memories of past adventures, or creating a deep desire to embark on new ones.
It has the potential to break down stereotypes and promote empathy by revealing the common threads that bind humanity together.
Whether it's a candid shot of a street vendor in a bustling Asian market or a serene landscape in the heart of Africa, travel photography has the power to foster cultural appreciation and understanding, encouraging viewers to peer into the daily lives of people in far-off lands, to comprehend the challenges they face, and to appreciate the beauty of their traditions and landscapes.
Travel photography is not always about stunning landscapes; it's about the people, the stories, and the shared human experiences that make the world a smaller and more interconnected place.
Feeling Inspired?
Have you ever wanted to learn how to take striking images of your travel adventures using only your mobile phone? When travel photography is matched with a mobile phone, the magic of storytelling comes alive. Capturing the essence of a place becomes fast and easy when traveling light.
After traveling the world, photographer Dan Tom discovered you don’t need fancy equipment or to go somewhere exotic to get a great shot. In his online course Travel Photography with Mobile Phone for Beginners, Dan highlights some of his favorite travel photographers that we wanted to share to help inspire you.

1. Steve McCurry
His photography inspired me to travel to places off the beaten path. His editing style also played a big role in my photography. I studied how he brought out colors and the range with which he edited.

2. Jared Chambers
He was one of the original Instagram inspirations for me. I have always felt connected with his photos, his landscapes, and the mood he can capture.

3. Jack Davison
One of my favorite artists. I think he has some of the unique compositions in the photography world. The way he crops and composes his photos is unlike anyone else.

4. Michelle Grenier
For me, she's one of the original iPhone's only inspirations. One of the most amazing things about her work is that she edits very little her photos.

5. Dan Tom
Of course this list wouldn't be complete without us mentioned the great work of Dan himself. Dan Tom is a visual designer and travel photographer, born and raised in San Francisco, California. Ever since he was young, he’s always had a passion for the creative arts. He went on to study studio art with a minor in digital art in Southern California.
After getting his first iPhone back in the day, and Instagram being one of the first Apps he downloaded, his love for photography flourished. His photography includes images of vivid sunsets, striking landscapes, and picturesque streets from across the globe. With over 300K followers on Instagram, he’s also gone on to collaborate with brands like Apple, Adobe, Alaska Airlines, AFAR magazine, VSCO, Dita Eyewear, and Disney.
