I thought, this would be just a simple course about how to use gouache since I got mine just few days ago. So, I was looking for a course with basic information & some basic tasks to warm up but I learned so much. I‘m so thankful for Tommy for sharing his knowledge about planing, colors & how they affect the painting. I would love to take another course by Tommy.

Excellent introduction to gouache painting. Helps the watercolor painter understand the difference between WC and gouache such as blocking in and using opaque top layers over an underpainting.

the course taught me the importance of careful planning on values and sketchbook trial which will enable quick agile painting with the fan brush. Thanks for the solid foundation

I really enjoyed this course. Clear instruction, clear explanations, helpful demonstrations. A little disappointed with the camera angles and over-editing. Also it would be helpful to see the reference photo and mixed paint palette to better understand the process. Apart from technical details, there is great value in this course. Tommy Kim is an excellent instructor, and I would happily take any course he puts out.

Very clear and useful instruction is given. I definitely recommend this course, especially for intermediate artists already somewhat familiar with painting.

Good educator. I would like to see more classes from him available. He is an excellent colorist, which is actually why I wanted to take his course. And I am a professional artist, and this class was a fun way for me to learn and fill my creative well during downtime. I would definitely take another course by him if he taught it.
