I've been painting since I was 15 and that was 65 years ago. In the meantime I've been in the US Navy, a microbiologist, a community colleget teacher, a Realtor, a boat captain and other occasional occupations. So my being an artist has been mostly hit and miss but always there. Until now. After a 3 week visit with my daughter in Canada (Sasha French, an established artist who sells at galleries and gets commissions to paint murals) I decided it was time to go full time. That was October 2026. God has blessed me in this (and many other ways). Immediately obtained 11 commissions, began producing and have at least 3 more in the works. I grew up in Cuba. My uncle Mariano Rodriguez Tormo was a very accomplished painter. I imitated him. Turns out my son Ezra is also a painter, and my mother was a musician. Also my only brother Jose is a musician, so arts everywhere.
