Jane French

I am an experienced artist and tutor specialising in oil portraiture. I am a selected member of the Contemporary British Portrait Painters collective (CBPP) - a group of some of the best portrait artists working in Britain today - and I have had work included in the Royal Society of Portrait Painters Annual Exhibition and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters Exhibition at the Mall Galleries (London, UK).

Having originally achieved a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at Newcastle University, and later an MA (Distinction) in Design at De Montfort University (Leicester), I worked as an illustrator and graphic designer before focusing professionally on my own practice. I regularly teach oil painting - both online as well as in real life at a number of art centres and education institutions across the UK.
