My project in 2D Animation with Toon Boom Harmony course

For this Character I got inspired by King Kazma clothing and also the style of Jim Hawkins from Treasure Planet.
I wanted to give him some Punk vibes also!
The character I had in mind was a very brave guy who likes challenges.
I sketched him a little bit before I decided how to draw him.
I choose a more "cartoony" style because I thought it would have been easier to animate.
After creating the character I went through the colour palette design process: I choose orange and red as predominant colour to highlight the energy of the character but I also wanted to make contrast with his light blue hair.

I had some troubles in the movement, I decided to follow the same somersault action showed in the course.
I sketched the main positions in Clip studio to make clear in my mind al the movements...then I started sketching them directly in Toon Boom to see if the animation was choppy or wrong.

I modified a bit some frames but more or less I was satisfied.
Then I added a simple background and the highlight to my character.
