When it came to that moment where one decides what to do with one's life I turned my back on an artistic career and joined the army. In those days there were few ateliers and no money to go to one.
Now I have time on my hands I have returned to my first love. And although I still do not have the money to go to school I try to learn as best as I can through watching, listening and practice.
I have discovered that I like a mix of tonal and linear work in portraiture and figure study and I am drawn to the subliminal messages suggested by these.
I struggle on and enjoy the journey. I am happy.
