Excellent course, I love just watching Jane paint! I followed all the steps and now have a couple of beautiful oil paintings I'm proud of. It's easy to understand, Jane talks you through from understanding how to mix the paint in the beginning, making simple value studies in monochrome and colour and then transferring your image onto the canvas before painting.

I highly recommend this oil painting course. Jane's demonstrations are detailed, and easy to understand. She mixes paints in separate piles, to match the various colours on the photographic image. First she paints an egg, using only white and black paint, then an apple, then a white mug. These exercises teach you to carefully place each paint stoke with the appropriate colour to create form and shadows. Her style is very modern, she avoids blending. I loved doing this class!

Jane explains her process clearly and her steps are easy to follow. I thoroughly enjoyed this corse and highly recommend to anyone interested in learning oil portrait painting.
