At this stage in life I am putting my energy into portraiture more and more. I want to do more portraits in pastels to better learn the use of color, seeing color. I usually make up my colors and call it expressive…which I like, yet I also want to create realistically. I love pastels and use them mixed with charcoal in black and white portraits. I also use acrylics, oils and graphite for my portraits. I love the works of Shiloh Sophia McCloud, Charla Maarschalk and Jane French. The bold, expressive way they each use color! I want to learn that!
