I am Alkawthar Alshams, a Senior Graphic Designer at Habbar Advertising Agency. Enthusiastic about exploring the potential of visual communication, through undertaking design-oriented multidisciplinary challenges. It always fascinated me how the design process ultimately controls the final outcome. Giving the same brief to ten different creative people, will generate ten unique outcomes! It is astonishing how the experiences every individual has lived wires their brain differently, thus leading to taking a personal approach. I believe the core of an effective design is a reflection of an efficient process. It would be an honor to understand the underlying paths towards more creative discoveries with Mr. Jan Wilker. Not only to nourish the creative process for design but also for life as a whole!

Hello. I am Melanie from Switzerland. I am a new graduated graphic designer. During my studies, they didn't speak much about the design process. Just that we have to identify the problems, make some researches and just start to sketch some ideas. I am sure you have more tips to share or some thoughts bring us and I would be grateful to learn from your course.
Regarding jokes, I am not good to memorize them but you are welcomed to try to make me laugh. :-)

Hi, I’m Ana Santos. I can’t imagine not participating here, because everything sounds awesome! I mean, being able to take part in this creative experience is incredible. Receiving any advise from a profesional that had worked developing identity and creativity for big clients like Puma or Swatch, for example, or making that mural at the Max, or the Bloomberg Market Magazine?. I feel like Charlie Bucket dreaming about the candy factory tour. I need the lucky golden ticket!
The joke ☺️
-Did you hear about the Italian chef who died?
-He pasta away.
I’m a Basque woman currently living in Tucson, Arizona.
I made this illustration for a visual storytelling lecture I gave at UA (University of Arizona). It is based on an excerpt frA portrait commission about love, friendship, and flowers.
hi, there
1. Why I would like to participate - it's great opportunity and challenge for me. I am graphic designer. It would be interesting to know what is "project in process" for you. KarlssonWilker' studio projects are fresh, not ordinary and multidisciplinary - coding, 3d, motion, identity, etc. - it would be inspiring look inside the process. I was glad and pleasure surprised when found out that some of my favorite things, which i saw some years ago, was create by your studio (design of video and album for Gus Gus and identity for Reykjavik Art Museum). it's interesting and exciting to be part of your new project on Domestica.
2. joke "for you i am an atheist, for God i am a loyal opposition"
3. My name is Oksana, I live in Moscow.

The Why:
I started out my adult life studying engineering. From there I transitioned to art school; however, I ended up raising sheep and working in construction. It hasn't been the vicissitudes of life, I've enjoyed the renaissance approach more than I think I would have liked specializing; however, the grip of art continues to draw me back. Frankly, I would love to improve my design skills.
The 3 Projects:
1) An idea I had while looking at a Coke label.
2) An illustration for nerds.
3) A stool I drew out and built from Baltic birch plywood and mill-cut pine.
The Joke:
My exercise scheme. Take a five pound potato bag in both hands. Hold the bags out from your body as long as you can, twice daily. You will improve over time. After a month, move up to ten pound bags and repeat the process. Continue to do this until you can hold one hundred pound bags straight out for five minutes. When you have accomplished this feat, begin to put potatoes in the bags.
The Location:
I live in a very rural part of Alberta, Canada.
- Briefly state why you want to participate in this special opportunity.
I'm currently a student in my senior year at the School of Visual Arts. I'm interested in work that sits at the intersection of music, technology, and packaging. I'm interested in building visual systems and I would like to one day have my own studio. The most important step in any project in my opinion is the process that leads to the solution. This semester I'm really taking a deep dive into what it means to explore ideas without boundaries and to come up with unique solutions through the process. This would be a great opportunity to strengthen my process and hopefully, I can learn to push past creative blocks when ideating.
