Megan Truax

Megan Truax is a Connecticut based traditional artist who focuses on subjects revolving around nature, wildlife, magic and pet portraiture.

As a life long lover of animals, pets and animals of all kinds have always held a special part of her heart. She decided to take that love of animals and combine it with her passion for painting to create pet portraits for others. For more information and samples of her pet portraits please click here.

When she isn’t painting beautiful furbabies she is constantly exploring the natural and magical world around her in her art. A personal project is underway of creating a fully illustrated Magical Botanical Encyclopedia, combining her love of plants and nature with her interest in modern day magic.

She streams all of her art on her Twitch channel, where she paints and interacts with a virtual audience. Each member of her online community has grown to be a part of her family, and unwinding and painting with her friends on Twitch is one of her favorite things to do. When she’s not painting or hanging out with her animals, Megan is a full time Marketing Coordinator and Designer for Scholastic, Inc. working in their audiobook and animated video department known as Weston Woods Studios and Scholastic Audio.
