I have at times taught math, English, and piano; each of these disciplines influences my photography in its own way.

I work mostly with film cameras, occasionally with digital cameras. My film work is medium or large format; I make black and white silver gelatin prints by hand in the darkroom. I also do platinotyping, a process by which platinum metal is embedded in paper fibers to create an image.
