Rebecca Elfast

Rebecca is an illustrator and surface pattern designer based in Gothenburg, Sweden, where she lives with her husband and daughter. She has a degree in architecture but has been freelancing since she graduated in 2008, taking on illustration and pattern work for a wide range of clients.
She uses a mix of traditional and digital techniques to create artwork that is eye catching, colorful and often contains a playful element. She is passionate about patterns and is constantly pausing the movie or TV-show she is watching to get a better look at that gorgeous wallpaper in the background, or the pattern on that lovely dress. Other than that, she often looks to nature for inspiration and loves being out and about, in the garden or walking along the coast or in the forest, taking notes of her surroundings with photos and sketches
