Lisa lives in bucolic rural North Carolina. Surrounded by the changing colors and moods of the sky and seasons, the birds and geese that share their homes with her, and the pleasure found in the old barns and bits of simpler times, her view of the world inspires her art. Her work gives voice to the joy and beauty she finds in nature and our connection to it.
Watercolor is her natural and most expressive medium, which she combines with inks, acrylics, sticks, and paper. Her eye is informed by her training in both architectural and graphic design and is drawn to repetition, form, line and color.
Favorite things include her family, nature, birds, sky, changing light, growing things, joy in the moment, getting as wet as possible on beach walks, collecting bits of nature, finding beauty in tiny things and her cat, Mila.
