Lara Antoniades

It's crazy how my life has lead me to where I am now! I grew up traveling the world and I got to experience the most extraordinary places before I was even fifteen years old.

I knew I wanted to become a creative when I had to find a way to show people all the things I have experienced and tell those stories. Since then it's been a journey to refine my abilities and I've found my passion in creative problem solving, design and illustration.

Apart from the fact that I've been drawing, painting, and creating since I was five years old, I also have many years of formal training in the creative world. I was accepted into the PJ Olivier Art Centre in high school, completed my BA in Visual Communication at Red and Yellow and I am now currently completing my honours at Stellenbosch University in Illustration. While I was completing my undergrad, my team received a Silver Pendoring award for our community-based project and I received a merit award in typography. I also have many hours under my belt completing short courses in photography, social media management, digital art, animation, and lots more.

Since the beginning of 2020, I began my illustration business Correia Illustrations, and have had many happy customers. The main part of my business is painting the travel experiences of my customers in watercolours. However, I have also assisted clients with photography, brand identities, editing, and filming videos.
