“PRESENTATION Hello, and welcome to my Domestika course. My name is Erika Pineda, I am a textile artist and the creator of Ancestral. Ancestral was born out of my passion for weaving, especially for macramé. When I was little, I learned how to crochet with my grandmother. When my grandmother died, I walked away from weaving and about six years ago I decided to take macramé classes. Doña Amparo, a divine old lady, taught me how to do it and I remember spending whole afternoons weaving with her. It was then that I decided to start this project.
